Butter Beef is a rich and flavorful dish made with tender beef, butter, and aromatic seasonings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pounds beef (such as sirloin or flank steak), sliced thinly
  • ½ cup unsalted butter
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch (optional, for thickening)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Slice the beef thinly against the grain.
  2. In a large skillet, melt ¼ cup of the butter over medium heat. Add the chopped onions and sauté until translucent. Stir in the minced garlic and cook until fragrant.
  3. Increase the heat to medium-high and add the sliced beef to the skillet. Season with salt and pepper. Sear the beef for about 5-7 minutes until browned, stirring occasionally.
  4. Pour in the beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and soy sauce. Stir to combine. Allow the mixture to simmer for about 15 minutes.
  5. If you prefer a thicker sauce, mix the cornstarch with a bit of water to create a slurry. Add this mixture to the skillet and stir until the sauce thickens, about 2-3 minutes.
  6. Remove the skillet from heat and stir in the remaining ¼ cup of butter until melted and smooth.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.

Notes

  • Adjust seasoning according to your preference.
  • For a spicy kick, add red pepper flakes.
  • Serve with rice or bread to soak up the sauce.
