Ingredients
Scale
1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon chili powder
1 teaspoon cumin
Salt and pepper, to taste
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 package wonton wrappers
Vegetable oil, for frying
1 cup shredded lettuce
1 diced tomato
½ cup sour cream
¼ cup chopped green onions
Instructions
In a skillet over medium heat, add olive oil. Season the chicken breasts with garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper. Cook until the chicken is no longer pink, about 6-7 minutes per side. Remove from heat and let cool.
Once the chicken has cooled, shred it using two forks or your hands. Place the shredded chicken in a bowl.
Add the shredded cheddar cheese to the bowl with the chicken. Mix until well combined.
In a separate large skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat for frying.
Take a wonton wrapper and place a spoonful of the chicken and cheese mixture in the center. Fold the wrapper in half to form a triangle and seal the edges by pressing with your fingers.
Carefully place the filled wontons in the hot oil. Fry for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.
Once all the wontons are fried, place them on a serving platter. Top each taco with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, sour cream, and chopped green onions.
Enjoy these delicious tacos while they are still warm and crispy!
