These Cranberry Brie Bites are a delightful appetizer featuring creamy Brie cheese, tart cranberry sauce, and crunchy walnuts encased in flaky puff pastry. They are easy to make and perfect for holiday parties or any festive gathering.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (8 oz) wheel of Brie cheese
  • 1 sheet frozen puff pastry, thawed
  • 1/2 cup cranberry sauce
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped walnuts
  • Sea salt, to taste
  • Cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly spray a mini muffin tin with cooking spray.
  2. Cut the thawed puff pastry sheet into 24 equal squares. Gently press each square into a cup of the prepared muffin tin.
  3. Cut the Brie cheese into 24 small, bite-sized pieces. Place one piece of Brie into each pastry-lined cup.
  4. Spoon about a teaspoon of cranberry sauce on top of the Brie in each cup.
  5. Sprinkle the finely chopped, toasted walnuts over the cranberry layer.
  6. Finish each bite with a tiny pinch of sea salt.
  7. For best results, chill the assembled muffin tin in the refrigerator for 15-20 minutes to help the pastry puff.
  8. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the pastry is deeply golden brown and puffed up.
  9. Let the Cranberry Brie Bites cool in the pan for at least 5 minutes before carefully removing them with a small offset spatula or butter knife.
  10. Serve the Cranberry Brie Bites warm.

Notes

  • For best results, let the Brie sit at room temperature for 15-20 minutes before cutting to prevent crumbling.
  • Toasting the walnuts enhances their flavor and adds a crucial crunch.
  • A small amount of leakage from the cheese is normal and delicious.
  • These bites can be assembled up to a day in advance and refrigerated before baking.
  • Pecans, almonds, or pistachios can be used as substitutes for walnuts.
