Ingredients
Scale
1 pound white fish fillets (e.g., cod, tilapia, or mahi-mahi)
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon chili powder
1 teaspoon cumin
½ teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon black pepper
8 small corn or flour tortillas
1 cup shredded cabbage
½ cup diced tomatoes
½ cup diced avocado
¼ cup chopped fresh cilantro
Lime wedges, for serving
Optional: sour cream or a creamy sauce for drizzling
Instructions
Rinse the fish fillets under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels.
In a bowl, combine olive oil, chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Rub this mixture all over the fish fillets.
Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Add the seasoned fish and cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until the fish is opaque and flakes easily with a fork.
While the fish is cooking, warm the tortillas in a separate skillet or microwave until soft and pliable.
Once the fish is cooked, flake it into bite-sized pieces. Place a portion of fish on each tortilla.
Top the fish with shredded cabbage, diced tomatoes, avocado, and cilantro.
Squeeze fresh lime juice over the tacos for added flavor. Optionally, drizzle with sour cream or a creamy sauce.
Serve immediately while the tortillas are warm and the fish is fresh.
Notes
Use fresh fish for best flavor.
