Ingredients
Scale
1 pre-made pizza crust (store-bought or homemade)
1 cup cooked gyro meat (chicken, lamb, or beef)
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
½ cup diced tomatoes
½ cup diced cucumbers
¼ cup red onion, thinly sliced
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon dried oregano
Salt and pepper to taste
Fresh parsley or dill for garnish (optional)
For the Tzatziki Drizzle:
1 cup Greek yogurt
1 small cucumber, grated and drained
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
1 tablespoon olive oil
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
Prepare the Tzatziki Sauce: In a bowl, mix Greek yogurt, grated cucumber, minced garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, salt, and pepper. Stir until well combined. Set aside.
Prepare the Pizza Crust: If using a store-bought crust, follow package instructions. If making homemade, roll out your dough on a floured surface to fit your baking sheet or pizza stone.
Add Olive Oil: Brush the pizza crust lightly with olive oil.
Layer the Ingredients: Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the crust. Then, add the cooked gyro meat on top.
Add Vegetables: Evenly distribute diced tomatoes, cucumbers, and sliced red onions over the pizza. Sprinkle dried oregano, salt, and pepper to taste.
Bake the Pizza: Place the pizza in the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and the crust is golden brown.
Drizzle with Tzatziki: Once the pizza is cooked, remove it from the oven and let it cool for a couple of minutes. Drizzle the tzatziki sauce generously over the top.
Garnish: If desired, sprinkle chopped parsley or dill for added freshness and color.
Slice and Serve: Use a pizza cutter to slice your delicious creation into wedges and serve immediately.
