Ingredients
Scale
1 lb White fish fillets (cod, tilapia, or haddock) (450g)
1/2 cup Breadcrumbs
1/4 cup Finely chopped onion
2 cloves Garlic, minced
1/4 cup Fresh parsley, chopped
2 tbsp Honey
1 Egg
1 tsp Salt
1/2 tsp Black pepper
1/2 tsp Paprika
1 tbsp Olive oil (for frying)
1/2 cup Greek yogurt
1 tbsp Mayonnaise
1 Lemon zest (Zest of 1 lemon)
1 tbsp Lemon juice
1/2 tsp Black pepper
1/2 tsp Salt
1 tsp Honey (optional for sweetness)
Instructions
Prepare the Fish: Place the white fish fillets in a food processor and pulse until finely minced. If you don’t have a food processor, you can chop the fish by hand into small pieces.
Make the Meatball Mixture: In a large bowl, combine the minced fish, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, minced garlic, parsley, honey, egg, salt, black pepper, and paprika. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly combined.
Form the Meatballs: Using your hands, shape the mixture into small meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter. You should get around 20 meatballs.
Cook the Meatballs: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the meatballs to the skillet, making sure not to overcrowd them. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
Prepare the Zesty Lemon Pepper Dip: In a small bowl, mix together Greek yogurt, mayonnaise, lemon zest, lemon juice, black pepper, salt, and honey (if using). Stir until smooth and well combined.
Serve: Arrange the honey fish meatballs on a serving platter and serve warm with the zesty lemon pepper dip on the side.
