Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb White fish fillets (cod, tilapia, or haddock) (450g)
  • 1/2 cup Breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup Finely chopped onion
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup Fresh parsley, chopped
  • 2 tbsp Honey
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp Paprika
  • 1 tbsp Olive oil (for frying)
  • 1/2 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1 tbsp Mayonnaise
  • 1 Lemon zest (Zest of 1 lemon)
  • 1 tbsp Lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp Black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Honey (optional for sweetness)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Fish: Place the white fish fillets in a food processor and pulse until finely minced. If you don’t have a food processor, you can chop the fish by hand into small pieces.
  2. Make the Meatball Mixture: In a large bowl, combine the minced fish, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, minced garlic, parsley, honey, egg, salt, black pepper, and paprika. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly combined.
  3. Form the Meatballs: Using your hands, shape the mixture into small meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter. You should get around 20 meatballs.
  4. Cook the Meatballs: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the meatballs to the skillet, making sure not to overcrowd them. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  5. Prepare the Zesty Lemon Pepper Dip: In a small bowl, mix together Greek yogurt, mayonnaise, lemon zest, lemon juice, black pepper, salt, and honey (if using). Stir until smooth and well combined.
  6. Serve: Arrange the honey fish meatballs on a serving platter and serve warm with the zesty lemon pepper dip on the side.
