  • 4 slices rye bread
  • 4 slices Swiss cheese

  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste

  1. Caramelize the onions: In a skillet over medium heat, melt 1 tbsp of butter. Add sliced onions and cook for 15-20 minutes until golden brown and caramelized.
  2. Form patties: Divide ground beef into four equal portions and shape into patties slightly larger than the bread.
