Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb Chicken breast (sliced into strips)
  • 1 cup Breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup All-purpose flour
  • 2 Large eggs (beaten)
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon Lemon zest
  • 1 teaspoon Dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon Dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper
  • for frying Olive oil
  • 1 cup Plain Greek yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh dill (chopped or 1 tablespoon dried dill)
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon juice
  • 1 clove Garlic (minced)
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper

Instructions

  1. For the Chicken Strips: In three separate bowls, place the flour in one, beaten eggs mixed with lemon juice in the second, and breadcrumbs mixed with oregano, thyme, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in the third.
  2. Dip each chicken strip first into the flour, shaking off excess, then into the egg mixture, and finally into the breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to adhere.
  3. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat until hot.
  4. Add the coated chicken strips to the skillet in batches, being careful not to overcrowd the pan. Fry for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
  5. For the Yogurt Dill Dip: In a medium bowl, combine the Greek yogurt, chopped dill, lemon juice, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Stir until well mixed.
  6. Refrigerate the dip for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
