Philly Cheese Steak Sloppy Joes are a delicious twist on the classic sandwich, combining ground beef, peppers, and melted cheese.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 1 bell pepper, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 slices provolone cheese (or your choice of cheese)
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • Optional: sliced jalapeños for added heat

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked. Drain excess fat.
  2. Add the diced onion and bell pepper to the skillet. Cook until they are soft, about 5 minutes.
  3. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute, allowing the flavors to meld.
  4. Mix in the Worcestershire sauce, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Stir well to combine.
  5. Let the mixture simmer for about 3-5 minutes until heated through.
  6. Place a slice of cheese on top of the beef mixture in the skillet. Cover the skillet with a lid and allow the cheese to melt.
  7. While the cheese melts, lightly toast the hamburger buns in another skillet or under a broiler until golden.
  8. Scoop generous portions of the beef mixture onto the toasted buns.
  9. Add sliced jalapeños or any other desired toppings for an extra kick.
  10. Serve immediately, and enjoy your delicious creation!

Notes

  • You can substitute ground turkey for a leaner option.
