Sweet Honey Butter Chicken Biscuit Sandwiches are a delicious combination of crispy fried chicken and sweet honey butter on warm biscuits.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • Vegetable oil, for frying
  • 4 large biscuits (homemade or store-bought)
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/4 cup honey

Instructions

  1. Slice chicken breasts into smaller pieces suitable for sandwiches.
  2. In a bowl, combine flour, salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  3. Pour buttermilk into a separate dish.
  4. Dip each piece of chicken into the buttermilk, then coat with the seasoned flour mixture. Ensure each piece is thoroughly coated.
  5. In a large skillet, heat about 1 inch of vegetable oil over medium-high heat until hot.
  6. Carefully place the coated chicken pieces into the hot oil. Fry for 5-7 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
  7. Once cooked, transfer chicken to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
  8. In a small bowl, mix softened butter and honey until well combined.
  9. If using store-bought biscuits, bake them according to package instructions. If making homemade, prepare them as directed.
  10. Spread honey butter on the warm biscuits. Place a piece of fried chicken on top and close the sandwich.
