  • 5 large eggs (room temperature for better whipping)
  • 1 cup milk (can use whole or non-dairy alternative)
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk (provides sweetness)
  • 1 can evaporated milk (adds richness)
  • 1 cup whole milk (can substitute with coconut milk)
  • 1 cup heavy cream (for a light topping)
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar (adjust to taste)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract (enhances flavors)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix the dry ingredients in a bowl: combine flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Beat the eggs and sugar until pale and fluffy, about 5 minutes.
  4. Gently fold the egg mixture into the flour mixture until just combined.
  5. Pour the batter into a greased baking pan and spread it evenly.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Cool the cake completely in the pan on a wire rack.
  8. Prepare the milk mixture by whisking together sweetened condensed milk, evaporated milk, and whole milk.
  9. Poke holes in the cooled cake using a fork or skewer to allow the milks to seep in.
