Ingredients
Scale
1 cup unsalted butter (2 sticks)
2 cups granulated sugar
4 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup cocoa powder
1 teaspoon baking powder
½ teaspoon salt
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 box (3.4 oz) instant vanilla pudding mix
2 cups whole milk
2 ripe bananas, sliced
Whipped cream (for topping)
Additional banana slices (for garnish)
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
Melt the butter in a medium saucepan over low heat. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter and granulated sugar until well combined. Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing thoroughly after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
In another bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined. Do not overmix.
Gently fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the batter.
Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
While the brownies are baking, prepare the banana pudding by whisking together the instant vanilla pudding mix and milk in a medium bowl. Let it sit for 5 minutes to thicken.
Once the brownies are done baking, remove them from the oven and allow them to cool for about 15 minutes. After cooling, spread the banana pudding evenly over the brownies.
Top the pudding layer with sliced bananas, arranging them evenly.
Refrigerate the brownies for at least 1 hour to allow the flavors to meld together.
Before serving, top with whipped cream and additional banana slices for an extra touch.
