Beef Kafta Kebabs: An Incredible Ultimate Recipe for Everyone

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef (preferably 80/20 for juiciness)
  • 1 small onion, finely grated
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (for grilling)
  • Skewers (wooden or metal)

Instructions

  1. If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for about 30 minutes to prevent burning.
  2. Mix Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, grated onion, minced garlic, parsley, cumin, coriander, paprika, salt, pepper, and cinnamon. Mix until well combined.
  3. Shape Kebabs: Take a handful of the meat mixture and mold it around the skewers. Shape into long, oval kebabs about 1 inch thick.
  4. Chill (Optional): For better flavor and structure, cover the kebabs with plastic wrap and chill in the refrigerator for 15-30 minutes.
  5. Preheat the Grill: Heat your grill to medium-high heat and brush with olive oil to prevent sticking.
  6. Grill Kebabs: Place the skewers on the grill and cook for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally until they are browned and cooked through.
  7. Check Doneness: Make sure the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C) for safe consumption.
  8. Remove and Rest: Once done, remove the kebabs from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes.
  9. Serve: Serve warm with your favorite sides and sauces.
