Ingredients
Scale
1 pre-made pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
4 tablespoons unsalted butter
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C) to ensure a crispy crust.
Prepare the Dough: If using store-bought dough, follow the package instructions. Roll out your dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness.
Make the Garlic Butter: In a small saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Add the minced garlic, salt, black pepper, oregano, and red pepper flakes. Cook for about 2 minutes until the garlic is fragrant but not browned.
Brush the Dough: Place the rolled-out pizza dough onto a pizza stone or baking sheet. Brush the garlic butter mixture generously over the surface of the dough.
Add the Cheese: Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheese evenly over the dough.
Bake the Pizza: Place the pizza in the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.
Add Fresh Herbs: Once the pizza is out of the oven, sprinkle the chopped basil and parsley over the top while it’s still hot.
Cool and Slice: Allow the pizza to cool for about 5-10 minutes. This step helps the toppings set and makes slicing easier.
Slice and Serve: Use a pizza cutter to slice the pizza into wedges. Serve hot and enjoy!
Notes
The pizza is best enjoyed fresh out of the oven.
You can adjust the amount of garlic and herbs according to your taste.
Try adding other toppings like vegetables or meats if desired.
