Cheddar Ranch Cheeseball is a delightful appetizer perfect for any gathering.

  • 16 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 packet ranch dressing mix
  • 1/2 cup chopped green onions
  • 1/2 cup chopped bell peppers (optional)
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts (pecans or walnuts, optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh herbs (parsley or dill) for garnish
  • Crackers or fresh veggies for serving

Instructions

  1. Leave the cream cheese at room temperature for about 30 minutes until it is soft.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, ranch dressing mix, chopped green onions, and any optional ingredients like bell peppers or nuts.
  3. Use a spatula or mixer to blend the ingredients until well combined and creamy. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Use your hands to form the mixture into a ball shape. You can also create a log shape if you prefer.
  5. Wrap the cheeseball in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
  6. If desired, chop fresh herbs to use for garnishing the cheeseball before serving.
  7. If using nuts, spread them out on a plate and roll the chilled cheeseball in them to coat the outside.
  8. Place the cheeseball on a serving platter and garnish with fresh herbs. Serve with crackers or fresh vegetables for dipping.
