Ingredients
Scale
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 cup diced onion
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup chicken broth
½ cup honey
¼ cup soy sauce
2 tablespoons sriracha sauce (adjust for spice preference)
1 teaspoon ground ginger
1 tablespoon cornstarch (optional, for thickening)
Salt and pepper to taste
Fresh cilantro or green onions for garnish
Instructions
Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper on both sides.
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat.
Add the chicken breasts to the skillet and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove the chicken and set aside.
In the same skillet, add diced onions and sauté until translucent. Add minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.
Pour in chicken broth, honey, soy sauce, sriracha, and ground ginger. Stir to combine.
Bring the sauce to a simmer and cook for about 5 minutes, allowing flavors to meld.
If you prefer a thicker sauce, mix cornstarch with a little water to create a slurry. Stir it into the sauce and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
Add the chicken back into the skillet, spooning the sauce over the breasts. Let it simmer for 2-3 minutes to absorb flavors.
Remove from heat and garnish with fresh cilantro or sliced green onions before serving.
