Chili-Lime Steak Tacos: An Incredible Ultimate Recipe

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound flank steak, trimmed
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon cumin
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • Juice of 2 limes
  • 8 small corn or flour tortillas
  • 1 cup diced avocado
  • 1 cup chopped fresh cilantro
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • Lime wedges, for serving

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine olive oil, chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, and lime juice. Mix well.
  2. Add the flank steak to the marinade, ensuring it’s well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 20 minutes, or up to overnight.
  3. Preheat your grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.
  4. Remove the steak from the marinade and place it on the hot grill. Cook for about 5-7 minutes per side, or until it reaches your desired doneness.
  5. Remove the steak from the grill and let it rest for about 5 minutes.
  6. After resting, slice the steak against the grain into thin strips.
  7. Warm the tortillas on the grill or in a skillet for about 30 seconds on each side.
  8. Place a few slices of steak in each tortilla. Top with diced avocado, chopped cilantro, and diced tomatoes.
  9. Serve with lime wedges on the side.
