Easy Chocolate Covered Cherry Magic Bars: An Incredible Ultimate Recipe

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup graham cracker crumbs
  • ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup sweetened shredded coconut
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup chopped cherries (fresh or maraschino)
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • Additional chocolate for drizzling (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking pan to prevent sticking.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, cocoa powder, sugar, and melted butter. Mix until well combined.
  3. Evenly press the mixture into the bottom of the prepared baking pan to form a crust.
  4. Sprinkle shredded coconut evenly over the crust, creating a delicious layer.
  5. Scatter semi-sweet chocolate chips over the coconut layer for a rich chocolate flavor.
  6. Distribute the chopped cherries evenly on top of the chocolate chips.
  7. In a separate bowl, whisk together the sweetened condensed milk, vanilla extract, and salt until smooth.
  8. Pour the condensed milk mixture evenly over the layers in the baking pan, ensuring all components are covered.
  9. Place the pan in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden and bubbly.
  10. Remove the pan from the oven and let it cool for about 30 minutes. This helps the bars set properly.
  11. Once cooled, cut into squares or bars for serving.
  12. If desired, melt additional chocolate and drizzle over the top for an extra touch.

Notes

  • Let the bars cool completely for better cutting.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container.
