- 1 pound (450g) sausage meat
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 sheet of puff pastry (thawed if frozen)
- 1 egg (beaten, for egg wash)
- Sesame seeds (optional, for topping)
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, mix the sausage meat, parsley, thyme, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until well combined.
- On a lightly floured surface, roll out the puff pastry into a rectangle, about ¼ inch thick.
- Cut the pastry into strips, approximately 3 inches wide and 10 inches long.
- Spoon a line of the sausage mixture along the edge of each pastry strip, leaving space at the edges.
- Fold the pastry over the filling and press the edges with a fork to seal.
- Place the rolls on the prepared baking tray. Brush the tops with beaten egg and sprinkle with sesame seeds if desired.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown and puffed up.
- Remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly on a wire rack before serving.
