Ingredients
Scale
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
Salt and pepper, to taste
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 cup sliced mushrooms
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cup cooked and crumbled bacon
1/4 cup green onions, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Season the chicken breasts with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper on both sides.
In a large oven-safe skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the seasoned chicken breasts and sear for about 5 minutes on each side until golden brown.
Once the chicken is seared, add the sliced mushrooms to the skillet. Sauté until the mushrooms are soft, about 3-4 minutes.
Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the chicken and mushrooms. Then, add the crumbled bacon on top.
Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the cheese is bubbly.
Remove the skillet from the oven and garnish with chopped green onions.
