- 1 cup buttermilk (or regular milk)
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon paprika
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Oil for frying (vegetable or canola)
- Ranch dressing, for serving
- Place jalapeño slices in a bowl and cover with buttermilk. Let soak for 10–15 minutes.
