Easy Frito Pie: Crunchy, Cheesy, and Comfort in a Bowl

Ingredients

  • 1 (9.25 oz) bag Fritos corn chips
  • 1 lb ground beef or turkey
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 1 (15 oz) can chili beans or kidney beans, drained
  • 1 (15 oz) can chili (or homemade)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • Optional toppings: sour cream, jalapeños, green onions, diced tomatoes

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, cook ground beef and onion over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
  3. Stir in canned chili and beans. Heat through for 5–7 minutes.
  4. In a 9×13 baking dish, layer half the Fritos. Pour chili mixture over chips. Top with shredded cheese and remaining Fritos.
  5. Bake uncovered for 15–20 minutes, until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  6. Serve hot with your favorite toppings.
