  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Optional: red pepper flakes for heat

Instructions

  1. Cut the chicken breasts into bite-sized pieces. Season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
  2. In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat.
  3. Add the seasoned chicken to the skillet. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the chicken is browned and cooked through.
  4. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for another 1-2 minutes, until fragrant.
  5. Add the broccoli florets to the skillet. Pour in a splash of water (about 2 tablespoons) and cover the skillet to steam the broccoli for 3-4 minutes.
  6. Once the broccoli is tender, remove the lid and stir in the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter and lemon juice. Mix well to combine.
  7. Taste and adjust seasoning with additional salt, pepper, or red pepper flakes if desired.
