This Irresistible Beefy Tortellini Bake recipe is a comforting, cheesy, and easy one-dish meal perfect for family dinners. It features tender tortellini, seasoned ground beef, and a rich marinara sauce baked to bubbly perfection with melted mozzarella.

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 package (18 ounces) cheese tortellini
  • 1 jar (28 ounces) marinara sauce
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • Fresh basil leaves, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat until fully cooked. Drain any excess fat.
  3. Stir in the Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper to the cooked beef. Mix well.
  4. In a separate pot, cook the cheese tortellini according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  5. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked beef, marinara sauce, cooked tortellini, and ricotta cheese. Stir gently until everything is evenly mixed.
  6. Spread half of the tortellini mixture into the bottom of a greased 9×13 inch baking dish. Then, sprinkle half of the mozzarella cheese on top.
  7. Pour the remaining tortellini mixture on top of the first layer and top it off with the rest of the mozzarella cheese.
  8. Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for about 15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  9. Once baked, garnish with fresh basil before serving for a touch of color and flavor.
