Ingredients
Scale
2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
1 packet (2 ¼ tsp) active dry yeast
¾ cup warm water (110°F)
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp salt
1 can (14 oz) canned tomatoes
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp dried oregano
1 ½ cups mozzarella cheese
Your choice of toppings (pepperoni, bell peppers, etc.)
Instructions
Prepare the dough: In a large bowl, mix warm water and yeast. Let sit for 5 minutes until frothy. Stir in olive oil, salt, and half the flour; mix until smooth. Gradually add remaining flour until a soft dough forms.
Knead: Transfer dough to a floured surface and knead for about 8 minutes until smooth and elastic.
Rise: Place dough in a greased bowl, cover with a cloth, and let it rise in a warm spot for about an hour or until doubled in size.
Make the sauce: Combine canned tomatoes, garlic powder, oregano, salt, and pepper in another bowl; adjust seasoning as needed.
Roll out the dough: Punch down risen dough and roll into desired shape on a floured surface. Transfer to a baking sheet or pizza stone.
Assemble: Spread sauce evenly over the dough, sprinkle mozzarella cheese generously, and add your favorite toppings.
Bake: Preheat oven to 475°F (245°C). Bake pizza for 10-15 minutes until golden brown and bubbling. Let cool slightly before slicing.
