  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 4 cups coleslaw mix (shredded cabbage and carrots)
  • 3 green onions, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce (low sodium, if preferred)
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Sesame seeds for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat the sesame oil over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the ground pork or turkey to the skillet. Cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula—about 5 minutes.
  3. Stir in the minced garlic and grated ginger (if using). Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  4. Add the coleslaw mix and chopped green onions to the skillet. Stir well to combine.
  5. Pour in the soy sauce and rice vinegar. Toss everything together until the cabbage is slightly wilted—about 3-4 minutes.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Adjust soy sauce or vinegar based on your preference for flavor.
  7. Remove from heat and transfer to bowls. Garnish with sesame seeds if desired.
