  • 1 can (15 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 1 can (15 oz) kidney beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 cup fresh peaches, diced (or canned, if out of season)
  • 1/2 cup whiskey (such as bourbon)
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
  2. Add the ground beef or turkey to the pot. Cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon.
  3. Stir in the diced tomatoes and kidney beans, mixing well.
  4. Add the diced peaches to the pot, allowing their sweetness to blend with the other ingredients.
  5. Carefully add the whiskey, stirring to combine. Let it simmer for about 2-3 minutes.
  6. Mix in the chili powder, adjusting the amount to your preferred spice level.
