Ingredients
Scale
1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1 cup pesto sauce
12 slider buns
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon garlic powder
Salt and pepper to taste
Fresh basil leaves, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
Set your oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a skillet over medium heat, add olive oil. Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Cook until no longer pink, about 6-7 minutes per side. Let cool before shredding.
Use two forks to shred the cooked chicken into bite-sized pieces.
In a large bowl, combine the shredded chicken with pesto sauce. Ensure the chicken is well-coated.
Slice the slider buns in half horizontally, keeping them connected.
Place the bottom half of the buns in a greased baking dish. Spoon the pesto chicken mixture evenly over the buns, and sprinkle with mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
Place the top half of the buns over the cheese layer.
Cover with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes. Then, remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
Remove from the oven and let cool slightly. Garnish with fresh basil leaves if desired.
Use a sharp knife to cut the sliders into individual pieces. Pull apart and enjoy!
