  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 4 taco-sized flour tortillas
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • ½ cup lettuce, shredded
  • ½ cup tomatoes, diced
  • ¼ cup red onion, diced
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • ¼ cup salsa
  • Optional: jalapeños, avocado, or any other preferred toppings

Instructions

  1. Heat a large skillet or griddle over medium-high heat.
  2. In a bowl, season the ground beef with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix gently but thoroughly.
  3. Divide the beef into four equal portions and form them into balls.
  4. Place each ball in the hot skillet and use a spatula to smash it down into a thin patty. Cook for about 2-3 minutes until browned.
  5. Flip the patties and immediately sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until the cheese melts.
  6. While the patties are cooking, warm the tortillas in another skillet or microwave until soft and pliable.
