Soft Baked Maple Donut Bars are a delicious treat that combines the sweetness of maple syrup with the softness of baked donuts.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ cup whole milk
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • ½ cup pure maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Set your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt until well combined.
  3. In another bowl, beat the eggs, then add the milk, melted butter, maple syrup, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Stir gently until just combined; do not overmix.
  5. Spread the batter evenly into the prepared baking pan, smoothing the top with a spatula.
  6. Place in the oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Once baked, remove from the oven and let it cool in the pan for 10-15 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
  8. In a small bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar, maple syrup, and milk until smooth. Adjust the consistency as needed.
  9. Once the bars are completely cool, drizzle the maple glaze over the top, allowing it to set for a few minutes before slicing.
  10. Cut the bars into squares and serve as desired.

Notes

  • Store leftovers in an airtight container.
  • Enjoy with a cup of coffee or tea.
  • Adjust the sweetness of the glaze to your liking.
