  • 2 cups powdered sugar

  • 2 tbsp milk
  • Black food coloring (a few drops)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt; set aside.
  3. In another bowl, cream together softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until fluffy.
  4. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
  5. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients until just combined; avoid overmixing.
  6. Scoop spoonfuls onto prepared baking sheets and bake for about 10 minutes or until edges are set but centers remain soft.
  7. Allow cookies to cool completely before preparing the frosting.
  8. Mix softened butter with powdered sugar and milk until smooth; add black food coloring to achieve desired shade.
  9. Pipe frosting in circular motions on cooled cookies to create cobweb designs.
